The 2005 Henschke Hill of Roses Shiraz is an exclusive single-vineyard expression from Eden Valley, sourced from young vines growing beside the legendary Hill of Grace vineyard. Produced in limited quantities and only in outstanding vintages, this wine exemplifies the elegance and intensity of its unique terroir.

The nose offers lifted aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, and mulberry, laced with hints of violets, star anise, and finely integrated oak. On the palate, it shows rich layers of ripe black fruits, dark chocolate, and spice, supported by firm but polished tannins and refreshing acidity. The finish is long, savoury, and beautifully balanced, highlighting both the richness of the 2005 vintage and the finesse of Henschke’s winemaking.

Serving & Cellaring:

Superb with roast duck, venison, or braised beef. Drinking wonderfully now but will continue to evolve gracefully for another 10–15 years.
