Hailing from the renowned St Hallett Old Block vineyard, this wine was initially crafted by Robert O’Callaghan and Stuart Blackwell in 1980. To be designated an Old Block Shiraz, the vineyards must be over 50 years old and planted on their own rootstock. The 2017 Old Block features grapes from vines ranging from 1870 to 1936 plantings, averaging nearly a century in age.
