Call it nostalgia but this pinot reminds me of the late blooming 1989 and the deliciously perfumed 1995, combined! A potpourri of rose petal, red summer berries, roasted beetroot with an overlay of oak smoke and peat sitting nicely in the background, alongside a lighter touch of stem influence. Beautifully controlled tannins, redolent red berries and the essential textural roundness completes the package. Absolutely delicious and moreish.
