2022 Patrick Piuze Les Sechets 750ml
The Franco-Canadian Patrick Piuze, born in 1973 in Quebec, is regarded as the “new rock star” of Chablis. At the age of 18, he met Marc Chapoutier, who inspired him to pursue a career as a winemaker. In the summer of 2000, he began his winemaking career at Olivier Leflaive in Puligny-Montrachet, where he quickly took on the responsibility for the Chablis wines of that estate. After a stint at the renowned Maison Verget, he ultimately became the cellar master at Jean-Marc Brocard. In July 2008, he started his own winery as a winemaker and rapidly gained worldwide recognition as the “rising star” of Chablis. Patrick's wines combine remarkable density with a silky texture, distinctive minerality, and precisely balanced structure.

Tasting Notes
The 2022 Chablis 1er Cru Séchet is both pure and precise, offering a bouquet of green apple and white flowers complemented by notes of toasted nuts and iodine. This medium to full-bodied wine is rich and inviting, featuring a smooth, enveloping texture along with lively acidity and a saline finish. More expressive and immediate than in previous vintages, it stands out as one of the top selections in the lineup. Rated 93 Points by William Kelley, The Wine Companion.
