2024 Serrat Grenache Blanc 750ml

This wine is made from our small patch of Grenache Blanc, the first planting ever in the Yarra Valley as far as we are aware. The clone is Entav 143, we were on the waiting list for the first release of the variety in Australia for five years.
Fermented in an old French oak 500L and bottled in August 2024.
The wine is lifted and floral with a citrus edge and mineral flinty note to the aromas. The palate is fine and flinty with lovely depth and focused, it has weight but is kept in check by a nice phenolic grip and mineral finish. It’s a quietly complex white that’s already drinking well, though it will evolve beautifully over the next couple of years.
