The Benriach 1994 Marsala Hogshead Single Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml
This 1994 single cask is a stellar example of sweet Marsala meeting smoky Speyside spirit. Made with Benriach’s occasional peated spirit first distilled back in 1994, this sublime cask #6502 retained its life as a Marsala hogshead until finally being chosen for single cask bottling by Dr Rachel Barrie herself. Bottled at 28 years of age at a hefty 55.1% (even after nearly three decades in the cask!), there’s no shortage of extreme flavour found here: cherry amaretto liqueur, manuka honey, velvety cocoa, sun-dried grape & smoked orange peel.
The distillery’s single cask program is highly sought-after. And you can bet Benriach has ensured this Speyside single cask has been captured without chill-filtration or any added colour.
